EQUIPPING THE SAINTS, FINANCIALLY

At Everyday Church CTX, we believe discipleship happens in relationship. Life Groups are where we grow together, and now they're also where we give together. Everyday Gives puts giving power directly into the hands of Life Groups so they can bless people around them in real, tangible ways.


"So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ."

WHAT IS EVERYDAY GIVES

Everyday Gives is a way for every Life Group at Everyday Church to receive 10 percent of what they give back, to use as a group toward blessing someone outside their group.

Equipping the saints isn't just spiritual, it's practical too. This is one way we put that into action. When a Life Group gives generously, we want to fuel their generosity even further by putting resources directly in their hands to bless their neighbors, coworkers, and community.

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Give as a Life Group
    As your group gives together, 10 percent of that giving becomes available for your group to use toward blessing someone outside the group.

  2. Submit a Request
    Groups will complete a short form describing who they want to bless and how. Requests are reviewed quarterly.

  3. Get Approved
    Once approved, funds are either paid directly to a vendor or reimbursed with a receipt. This keeps things simple and accountable.

  4. Bless Someone
    Your group gets to be the hands and feet of Jesus for someone who needs it, whether that's a meal, a bill, a gift, or something else entirely.

  5. Share the Story
    Once your group has blessed someone, don't let it stay a secret. Snap a few photos, jot down what happened, and send it our way. We love celebrating the ways God is using Life Groups to love people well, and your story might be exactly what encourages another group to take their next step.

A few guidelines:
This is meant to be relational generosity.
Funds cannot be used to directly benefit anyone inside the group.
The whole point is Life Groups turning outward, not inward.

Starting September 1 through the end of October, we're inviting our church family into a season of prayer about First Fruits giving.
